- Your production is JIT or depends on reliable lead times.
- You want to actually track and reduce your total cost of ownership.
My bottom line: For any serious automotive supplier, the efficiency-based approach isn't just better. It's essential for competitiveness. The old way was fine when margins were higher and supply chains were local. Today, with global competition and tight margins, the efficiency approach is a serious deal-breaker if you aren't using it.
